Landscape Lighting Planning Design

Landscape Lighting – If you have put a lot of effort into making your patio attractive, you do not want all your hard work to go to waste at night just because it is too dark to see! Adding lighting to your garden is a great way to improve the appearance of your garden at night. Your patio will become a wonderful place to relax at night, as well as a more attractive area for entertainment nights.

Decide what you want from your landscape lighting. That you want to simply illuminate the steps and paths for safety reasons. Or are you studying to perform spectacular lighting effects in your backyard? Think about what kind of mood you want to create in your yard-what do you want to go for a dramatic effect, or something softer and more relaxed? Wait for a moonless night, then grab a flashlight and walk around your yard. Use the flashlight to test your ideas for which you want to add lights.

Illuminate dark roads and trails with small low-voltage lights. These should be placed close enough together that the pools of light overlap. Design shadows on walls and fences by set the lights in front of trees or other pieces such as woodcutting. Use accent lights under trees or near walls to create relief effects. Create dramatic down landscape lighting that mimics moonlight by placing halogen spotlights on tree branches.
